May 25 was a double celebration at the ASPU Base College (High School). The Last Bell was rung at the College for 118 graduates marking the beginning of a new post-school reality for them. This year the traditional celebration took place for the 25th time.
“Attention, attention! The College's flight is delayed for 2 hours,” announced the schoolchildren. Before the flight they promised to understand whether they are ready for the new life or not. During those two hours they looked back through the College archives, presenting the history of the institution and founders.
The graduates thanked Alexander Ghushchyan, the College founder and the first principal, and handed him a certificate of gratitude. They also extended their warmest wishes to the current principal Naira Safaryan. “You have earned the greatest title, the title of a decent human being. These diplomas reflect our love and respect for you,” they said.
Careful and knowledgeable teachers, acquaintance with the outside world, opportunity to be free and acquire friends for life… These are the most important achievements for the 118 graduates of the College. They assured everyone that in addition to their rights they also understood the importance of fulfilling their responsibilities.
“Attention, attention! Prepare for the flight!” Only a few minutes are left before the departure time but the schoolchildren continue presenting the achievements of the 25-year-old institution. The birth of the College was difficult, but promising as the graduates of different years have been able to uphold the institution's name and good reputation.
The College continues recording new achievements and success and sending to life a new generation of knowledgeable people who are proud to be graduates of the College. The archival data once again showed that the College is proud of its alumni and stands firm thanks to its pupils.
Before the flight the pupils promised to use their knowledge for their country and to bring the best practices to their homeland. “We had the honor to have such teachers who helped us enrich our arsenal of knowledge,” they said.
“Attention, attention…” was heard for the last time. The landing was successful and the College is waiting for its new passengers.
Alexander Ghushchyan, the College founder and the first principal, thanked the graduates and said that he is both proud and happy that the institution is sending to adult life its 25th graduates.
“Today the Pedagogical University has its unique place in the life of society,” he stressed advising the graduates to join the great army of ASPU graduates. "Keep your heart clean and full of the best and kindest feelings, and look at others with a good heart and a bright look,” he said.
“Beauty, goodness, truth… These are the main things in life,” Naira Safaryan, Principal of ASPU Base College, said in her congratulatory remarks. She expressed hope that the graduates will fulfill their mission with honor.
