On September 18 the teachers who attended a training course at the ASPU Museum at the end of the academic year visited the University to receive certificates of participation. They were welcomed by ASPU Vice-Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan and ASPU Museum Director Alvard Grigoryan.
In her speech, the director of the museum emphasized the relationship between schools, universities and museums and expressed hope for continued collaboration with the teachers.
Srbuhi Gevorgyan congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the training course emphasizing the importance of museum-knowledge-toolkit in terms of opening new opportunities.
Speaking about globalization and localization, the vice-rector stressed the importance of national cultural dialogue in the context of educational and cultural cooperation.
“As a result of trainings we develop and implement joint programmes. With their help we are obliged to convey to our children the cultural and educational values that museums have. You have to use the immense power of museums while educating children,” said Alvard Grigoryan.
Srbuhi Gevorgyan gave the 14 participants of the training course certificates of training and a copy of “Museum Pedagogy” - a book by Alvard Grigoryan.
Zhanna Manukyan, a senior specialist at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, a graduate of the Pedagogical University, said the Ministry encourages cooperation of educational institutions with cultural organizations. She said the participants of the training course came up with interesting ideas which can be used in museums.
The parties are sure that the cooperation will continue in the future and will be aimed at instilling cultural values in children.
