Vice-Rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) for Education and Science Mariam Ispiryan today granted certificates to 3 PhD students of the Chair of Special Pedagogy at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in Kazakhstan.
Dinara Opankulova, Baglan Sauryakova and Kuralay Toktarbekova conducted a study for a month at the Armenian State Pedagogical University. Undergoing training at a foreign university is a mandatory part of the foreign PhD students’ dissertation, and the Kazakh PhD students had chosen Associate Professor of the ASPU Chair of Logopaedics and Rehabilitation Therapy Zhanna Paylozyan to be their academic supervisor.
The PhD students and the academic supervisor worked on academic topics, wrote articles, visited various special and general education institutions, as well as historical and cultural structures to get the full picture of Armenia.
ASPU Vice-Rector Mariam Ispiryan asked the Kazakh researchers about their research at the university, the extent to which they have identified the characteristics of education in both countries and whether this has helped them conduct their research effectively in the system of higher education.
The students of the Chair of Special Pedagogy at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and the fruitful visit and emphasized that it was oversaturated and more than what they had expected. They provided details about the studies conducted and conducted surveys, highlighting the fact that the studies and surveys provided them with the opportunity to make the analysis on the topics complete.
Mariam Ispiryan voiced hope that the cooperation in the academic field would continue and that the articles by the young scholars would be published in the University’s Armenian “Special Education” magazine after being approved by the relevant Chair of the University.
