On December 9, ASPU and the ASPU Trade Union signed a Collective agreement. The document was signed by ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan and President of the ASPU Trade Union Edik Gulyan.
As a representative of the interests of ASPU employees, Edik Gulyan welcomed the employee-centered policy of the ASPU leadership and emphasized the importance of the Collective agreement in employee-employer relationship.
Edik Gulyan assured the members of the Rector’s Office that members of the Trade Union and the joint committee of employer’s representatives participated in drafting the agreement. "Thanks to the agreement drawn up in the atmosphere of solidarity and partnership employer-employee relationship will enter a new phase. Apart from the employment contract and laws, the Collective agreement has a number of additional clauses and, using the opportunities of the University, it will be a serious achievement for employees," Edik Gulyan said. He added that the new collective agreement was also approvedduring the expanded meeting of the Trade Union, and it is one of the best samples in Armenia.
ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan, in turn, said that every employee of the University should be under the attention and care of the Trade Union, and the agreement should contribute to their welfare.
