The ASPU Base College hosted representatives of DasA educational programme. The aim of the educational project is to inspire love for classical art through contemporary interactive and creative methods.
During the meeting, Sergey Smbatyan, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of Armenian State Symphony Orchestra (ASSO), spoke about classical music, ethics of audience behavior during a classical music performance, as well as the role of music in education. He assured everyone that music can change human qualities. He added that schoolchildren can get free concert tickets through DasA application.
The meeting was followed by a Q&A session, during which Mr. Smbatyan answered the attendees’ questions. Later on, violinist Araksya Poghosyan performed for the college students.
Naira Safaryan, Principal of the ASPU College, thanked Mr. Smbatyan for introducing classical music in an original, interesting and innovative way, as well as for the pleasant atmosphere.
“It’s with great pride that we announce that such meetings will enable us to bring high cultural values to schools and to teach students to listen to classical music,” she said. She assured the guest that it will be pleasure for them to be present in the next meetings.
