On June 2, students of the ASPU Base College met their teachers in unusual conditions. Wearing face masks and gloves they received the documents certifying that they completed 12 years of schooling.
Overall, 122 college leavers from five streams left college this year in an unprecedented state of emergency due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. They said goodbye to their teachers remotely promising to uphold the good name of the college. They visited the college as pupils for the last time just to receive their graduate certificates and have a special and memorable day.
“Dear graduates, I want those masks ‘to complete their mission’ as soon as possible, I want you to show the world your true faces and to wear masks only during masquerades. Whatever the situation be, I want you to go confidently in the direction of your cherished dreams. And if you believe and keep those dreams alive, they will definitely come true, I assure you,” Principal of the ASPU Base College Naira Safaryan said when congratulating the pupils.
She confessed that it was difficult not to hug college leavers and convey them their smiles and warmth just the way they did during the annual handover ceremonies of certificates, however both sides tried to follow the rules amid coronavirus pandemic.
Talking to www.aspu.am, many of the school-leavers said they are going to study at ASPU as they trust and believe in the traditions and principles adopted by the pedagogical smithery.
