KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The 13th edition of the "Lecturers’ Cup 2025” inter-university sports games organized jointly by Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) and Armenian Student Sports Federation (ASSF) was held from 27 to 31 January. The competition held at ASUE was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the University.

This year, the championship featured six sports: shooting, table tennis, chess, basketball free throws, badminton, and tug-of-war. Over 200 lecturers and staff members from ten Armenian universities participated in the event.

Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) actively participates in the annual inter-university sports games. This year ASPU representatives only competed in shooting games.

The ASPU team comprised Ivan Karapetyan, a lecturer at the Chair of Chess and Sports, and Vahagn Kharatyan, an assistant professor at the Chair of Informatics and its Teaching Methods.

Scoring 45 out of the possible 50 points, they left behind their competitors in the men's individual competition; Ivan Karapetyan won first prize, while Vahagn Kharatyan - 2nd. They received medals and certificates. Let us remind that ASPU representatives won prizes in shooting and other games during the previous competitions as well.
