Representatives of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) Ara Yeremyan, Vice-Rector for Personnel and International Cooperation, and Kristina Tsaturyan, Head of the International Cooperation Unit, visited the People's Republic of China from September 27 to October 1. During the official visit, the ASPU delegates were hosted by the Southwest University (SWU) which is located in the city of Chongqing in southwest China.
The ASPU representatives met with vice-rectors of the Chinese university, heads of faculties, international cooperation unit and international college.
The ASPU delegates were accompanied by ASPU graduate Ani Melikyan who is currently studying at the SWU.
During the meetings, the parties discussed a range of issues, including implementation of joint Master's degree programmes and research, exchange of students within the framework of long-term and short-term educational programmes, conduct of internships of SWU MA students at the ASPU, as well as other joint educational initiatives.
The SWU administration considered the implementation of the programmes [discussed during the meetings] highly important and promised to do everything to make cooperation in that direction realistic.
On behalf of the ASPU leadership and teaching staff, the ASPU delegates expressed readiness to take cooperation to the practical level.
