ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY AFTER KHACHATUR ABOVYAN

From 16 – 17 May, the ASPU Dean of the Faculty of History and Social Sciences Edgar Hovhannisyan, the Head of the Chair of World History and its Teaching Methods Khachatur Stepanyan, and the Associate Professor of the same Chair Hayk Grigoryan attended an international seminar headed “Russia and Armenia in Historical Memory” held at the Ural Federal University.

During this scientific event, Armenian and Russian speakers presented reports about certain issues of history of Armenia and about Russian-Armenian relations.

Furthermore, in the course of the visit, the Pedagogical University delegation had a working meeting with the Head of the Institute of Humanities of the Ural University Elvira Symanyuk, the Deputy Head for Science and Innovation Yulia Zapariy, and the Dean of the Faculty of History Alexander Palkin.

The parties discussed further cooperation opportunities between the Universities, particularly in regards with activating the work of the Centre of Armenian Studies and organization of various joint scientific and academic events in the current year.

We would like to remind that the Pedagogical University and the Ural Federal University signed an agreement on the basis of which serious scientific-educational cooperation, implementation of projects and business initiatives are conducted.
