The presentation of a university textbook entitled "Mathematical Analysis: Integrated Account" was held at the Pedagogical University on December 21.
The book authored by professors Gurgen Ghulghazaryan and Lusine Ghulghazaryan is intended for students taking full-time and distance courses at pedagogical universities. Likewise, it can be used in technical universities, faculties of natural sciences, where "Mathematical Analysis" is taught.
ASPU Vice-Rector Naira Safaryan says it is too difficult to write a book; there are too many critics. She is sure that the scope of users will be large as the book is important both for specialists teaching Mathematics in streams of natural sciences and for all those who study the subject at university.
Congratulating the authors on the occasion, the vice-rector noted that, looking back on his student years, she realized that having such a textbook in those years was a big dream; they used only Russian literature, which was scarce.
In addition to theoretical material, there are many solved and unsolved sums in the textbook, with solutions and clues.
Professor Gurgen Ghulghazaryan says the textbook is the result of 5 years of work and has undergone a number of tests, with the authors taking into account the considerations and observations of specialists.
The book includes such theories and principles hat are not fully covered in schools.
Lusine Ghulghazaryan adds, in turn, that the materials in the textbook are their lectures and the textbook has come to fill the gap in Armenian-language textbooks.
Associate Professor Knarik Hovhannisyan confirms that the lack of such textbooks in her student years did not allow them to fully master the nuances of mathematics education.
She hopes that, by learning the material in the textbook and guided by the textbook, today's students and future teachers will contribute to Armenian style education and development of national schools.
