KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Armenian State Pedagogical University is hosting these days Professors from the University of Minnesota - Renáta Tichá, Brian Abery, Christopher Johnstone and Susan O'Connor.

A seminar entitled “Research Methods and Data Analysis in the Field of Education” was held at the ASPU within the framework of the visit. The meeting featured Armenian and American colleagues.

The aim of the visit is to expand and spread attitudes towards inclusive education in Armenia’s pedagogical universities within the framework of an agreement with the UNICEF.

Within the framework of cooperation started between the University of Minnesota and ASPU Faculty of Special Education in 2016, materials related to inclusive education are being elaborated in an effort to raise awareness of future educators.

The visiting guests will hold discussions and workshops in Dilijan and Vanadzor State University. They will also present the results of joint work towards expansion of inclusion-based teaching in the higher education system.
