KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan recently participated in a meeting of the Public Council of Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPGU) chaired by MPGU Rector and Chairman of the Public Council Alexey Lubkov. The meeting was attended by rectors of universities — members of the Public Council of MPGU, the basic organization of the CIS member states for training teachers.

The meeting was held in a hybrid format - face-to-face and online.

Alexey Lubkov presented a report on the results of the MGPU activity as the basic organization in the first semester of 2023. He expressed his satisfaction with the work done in the first semester, hailing cooperation between the pedagogical universities, organization and participation in various events and initiatives in the educational system, which were aimed at boosting professional growth of young educators. He also stressed the need to better the quality of pedagogical staff training and use of modern technologies and methods. The MGPU rector added that representatives of all the 13 pedagogical universities, members of the Council, young teachers from Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and educational institutions of the Russian Federation participated in the forum on training enhancing educational personnel capacities held in 2023.

The second item on the agenda presented by Lyudmila Trubina, Advisor to the the MGPU rector, focused on MGPU’s participation in a pilot project aimed at reforming the higher education system in Russia.
Secretary of the Council Eduard Nikitin spoke about the organization of activities in the second semester of 2023. After his speech, the Council discussed issues related to training of pedagogical staff.

Representatives of partner universities briefed their colleagues on the process of joint programs, in particular, the results of the "Organization of monitoring to study the quality of training of pedagogical staff in the CIS countries: Experience and prospects of cooperation" scientific and practical conference, international festival on Russian language in CIS pedagogical universities, "Effeicient solutions to the problems of teaching Russian language as a non-native (foreign) language in the CIS countries" international scientific and practical conference, "Best practices in teaching Russian language in CIS pedagogical universities” international competition and other issues.
