The workshop of the “Establishment of National Framework of Key Performance Indicators for Good Governance and Quality towards Inclusive, Digital and Green Oriented Higher Education in Armenia” (KPI4HE) Erasmus+ Programme took place.
The Coordinator of the three-year project is Yerevan State University, and the partners are the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport; the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA) and five Armenian universities, including the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan (ASPU) and the Armenian Center for Education Policy and Management (ACEP). The European partners are the Universities of Oldenburg, Dresden and Genova.
Among the participants of the workshop were ASPU Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation Marianna Harutyunyan; Advisor to the ASPU Rector Hakob Tadevosyan; Head of the ASPU Unit for Education Management and Reforms Samvel Asatryan; Acting Head of the Chair of Ecology and Sustainable Development Sirine Shogheryan; Head of the Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods Lusine Ghulghazaryan and marketing specialist for the Armenian State Pedagogical University Alla Harutyunyan.
The participants were greeted by Vice-Rector of Yerevan State University for Academic Affairs Elina Asriyan, while Head of the Grants Coordination Division of the International Cooperation Department at Yerevan State University, Co-Coordinator of the “KPI4HE” Project Arsen Aproyan presented the main activities completed and planned within the scope of the “KPI4HE” Project.
The key issue of the “National Framework of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Higher Education in Armenia” (NF-KPI) in the context of the draft Law of the Republic of Armenia “On higher education”, the role of institutional research in the University’s strategic planning and other issues were touched upon during the workshop.
Group activities were carried out for the creation of the structural draft of the “National Framework of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Higher Education in Armenia” (NF-KPI) under the titles “Education, “Science” and “Mission of University”. At the end of the meeting, each group presented its respective plan and summed it up by making recommendations and asking questions.
The aim of the KPI4HE Project is to improve management of the higher education system and strategic planning at universities, which will foster the development of quality towards inclusive, digital and green oriented higher education in Armenia through the development and introduction of the National Framework of Key Performance Indicators for Higher Education in Armenia (NF-KPI), the launch of services for the development and planning of mechanisms for institutional research, as well as the review of state criteria for accreditation of institutions (according to the NF-KPI).
