ASPU representatives visit State College of Culture and Arts named after Charles Aznavour

Visits to various general and secondary educational institutions continue within the framework of school-university partnerships.

Today, members of the career orientation and awareness group of the Faculty of Philology headed by Dean Ashot Galstyan visited the State College of Culture and Arts named after Charles Aznavour.

The choice was not accidental as most of the pedagogical and administrative representatives of the college are graduates of ASPU. Children studying at the college prefer to continue their studies at the Pedagogical University.

During the meeting with the college students, ASPU representatives presented the history of the 100-year-old university and its faculties, the specialties the university offers, cooperation with prestigious international universities, as well as the advantages and characteristics of lifelong learning.

"Making a career choice in culture and art in these difficult days is a heroism," said Ashot Galstyan, Dean of the Faculty of Philology. He then focused on generalities of the Armenian language, literature, art and culture, and the traditions of the Faculty of Philology.

Naira Khachatryan, Vice-Dean of the Faculty, associate professor and director, said in turn that the good knowledge of the Mother Tongue and familiarity with the best examples of Armenian literature is a necessity not only for linguists and literary scholars, but also for directors, actors, artists, journalists and all those who have chosen other professions from the point of view of developing their communication skills and literacy.

During the meeting, Mary Arakelyan, President of the Student Council of the Faculty, spoke about the busy daily routine of ASPU students, cultural, sports, intellectual and entertainment programs, summer and winter vacations, and assured the college students that they will have no reason and time to get bored.

Sona Vanyan, a lecturer of Armenian Language and literature at the college, a graduate of the ASPU Faculty of Philology, recalled her student years and professors with great enthusiasm and gratitude.

The ASPU representatives donated books, scientific journals and educational manuals written by lecturers of the Faculty of Philology to the library of the State College of Culture and Arts named after Charles Aznavour.

During the visit, the ASPU delegates and Director of the College Vrezh Kirakosyan discussed opportunities for further cooperation. cooperation of specialists, organization of student internships, joint events, and mutual visits.
