The 33rd KWF European Championship was held in Portugal recently. During the championship, the Kyokushin Karate Federation of Armenia competed in 3 weight classes showing excellent results.
Emil Ghazaryan, a third-year student of the Faculty of Culture at ASPU, is one of the three Armenian athletes who won a prize during the championship. He won gold in the 75 kg category.
Emil Ghazaryan has had victories in various tournaments and championships, but this one is special. It is an important and inspiring achievement ahead of the KWU Kyokushin World Championship to be held in Kazakhstan in December.
Talking to aspu.am, the future cameraman said that although the professions of an athlete and that of a cameraman are basically different, they do have some similarities since in both cases one deals with a person's inner world.
“The object of my camera is my field of interests; in the frame are the training for children, interesting sporting events– starting from the feelings of the athlete who rejoices at his/her victory to other episodes,” says Emil.
The Kyokushin Karate European champion confesses that he often re-watches the tournament videos: for the first time as an athlete, for the second time as a cameraman, to see if the cameraman was able to catch the important, the beautiful and interesting moments.
The Pedagogical University congratulates Emil Ghazaryan and wishes him new victories and achievements.
