KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Based on the results of the photo exhibition-competition held as part of the “Center: Yerevan in the Spotlight”, the second and third place winners were 2nd year student of the Department of Artistic Photography at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (supervisor: Armen Khachatryan) and alumnus of the same Department Aram Khachatryan, respectively.

The exhibition showcased the top 30 photos that had been submitted, as well as the photos by winner of last year’s competition (“Feel the Breath of Yerevan!”) Lendo Petrosyan.
President of the Armenian Photographers National Association Sergey Hakobyan; Professor of the Chair of Camerawork, Artistic Photography and Social-Cultural Activities of the ASPU Faculty of Culture Armen Khachatryan; co-author of the book “Yerevan Sketchbook” Ararat Minasyan and graphic designer, digital artist Lendo Petrosyan were among the attendees and gave their evaluations as professionals.

The exhibition kicked off with a performance by Liberta String Quartet, which made sure everyone was in the spirit during the entire event.

The guests and passers-by toured the vestibule of the building of the administrative district and got acquainted with the photos submitted for the competition.

At the end, the creators of the first three winning photos were granted certificates and financial awards, and all 13 participants of the competition were granted certificates of appreciation and mementos.
