A book awards ceremony was held at the initiative of the Chair of New and Modern Armenian Literature and its Teaching Methods after Vache Partizuni and “Spyurk” (“Diaspora”) Scientific-Educational Center.
As usual, incentive awards were given to the final-year students of the Faculty of Philology, whose diploma work or master's thesis was about new and modern Armenian literature.
Professor Suren Danielyan, head of the Chair of New and Modern Armenian Literature and its Teaching Methods, said he was proud to work with the students and give the best students the books published by the “Spyurk” (“Diaspora”) Scientific-Educational Center.
Among the books were "Tonazang" and "Tonakanch" by famed Western Armenian writer Zareh Khrakhouni (lived in Istanbul), “Karkemish” by Petros Hachian (Argentina), as well as about 20 works by Diaspora Armenian and local writers published in recent years.
Dean of the Faculty of Philology Ashot Galstyan said in turn that Armenian State Pedagogical University and the teaching staff of the Faculty he heads had spared no effort for the students to receive high-quality education and become competitive specialists.
On behalf of the students, Taguhi Aghasyan, a fourth-year student, thanked everyone and confessed that is difficult to say goodbye to their beloved university. Not only did the University give them professional knowledge, but also developed and shaped them as individuals, for which they are grateful to their professors.
