Books have been, are and will remain…

“The number of library visitors is increasing yearly. Today’s generation and young people read books, like books and are interested in them”, said the Director of the Pedagogical University’s Scientific Library Mr. Tigran Petrosyan and added that the ASPU Scientific Library had had 23 225 readers in the current year, the frequency of visits had been 1 449 618 so far, and the number of borrowed literature had been 3 745 729.

“The Internet cannot cancel or replace real books; those are different and incomparable worlds. Internet is convenient to get fast information, while books are for reading, they serve as a source of more profound information”, said Tigran Petrosyants. Speaking about the demand of books he outlined that even today there was high demand of books, and thousands of books were published all over the world.

“There has always been the demand of books, thee is and will be. Today, all over the world the volume of printing books is growing; books will never die, they will always remain, as if you want to do a serious work, you need to refer and work with books”, said the director of the Library.
