Early childhood education specialists to undergo training at ASPU

Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) has again been recommended to train specialists of preschool educational institutions.

Sixty early years teachers (EYT) from Yerevan and marzes (provinces) will participate in the 90-hour training course which will be held from 5 to 21 December.

The hybrid training (in face-to-face and online formats), will be conducted by lecturers of the Chair of Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology with innovative approaches and interactive methods emphasizing changes in the field of preschool education.

Welcomed the participants of the course on the first day, ASPU Vice-Rector for Education and Science Mariam Ispiryan said it is binding that preference [to conduct the training] has been given to ASPU.

She wished the trainees good luck and assured them that they will have the opportunity to improve their professional skills and capabilities. ASPU takes responsibility for the entire process, and the trainers are leading specialists in the field, who are also the best in the country, she stressed.

ASPU has been conducted training courses in various areas for many years and more specialists are involved in the process year by year which is also binding. ASPU is committed to the policy it adopted: even after the end of the course, ASPU is ready to provide methodological guidance to the trained EYTs, listen to suggestions and opinions on the process.

Armenuhi Manukyan, Acting Head of the Chair of Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology, says ASPU is the Alma Mater of many participants of the course where they started educational and professional achievements. She is sure that the training will provide the necessary fundamental knowledge, develop skills and abilities to carry out the responsible mission that lays the cornerstone of society.

The training participants were also welcomed by Svetlana Marutyan, Professor of the Chair of Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology. She considered the process to be important and necessary, assuring everyone that contemporary education reforms and demands can also be met through training.
