Education is the Backbone for Armenian People

September 1st, is the Day of Knowledge and Education in Armenia; the new academic year kicked off at all RA educational institutions.

Similar to the previous years this year, the Knowledge Day was celebrated at the ASPU School N57 after Vahan Totovents with great festivity. The first bell announcing the start of the new academic year became memorable for everybody including teachers, pupils, and their parents. There were a lot of flowers, balloons, and joyful mood at the schools to welcome the new academic year. This year, the school admitted 70 pupils in two groups.

The Director of the school Ms. Naira Toghanyan greeted the pupils with a cordial smile. By congratulating on this significant Day of Knowledge, the Director noticed that education had been most principal at all times.

“We have always emphasized the role of education; it has always been the backbone for the Armenian people. Educational centres have always existed and united Armenians at different periods of our history. I would like to congratulate everybody, and especially the first-graders, on this beautiful day. We are happy to admit you to our big family and wish you good luck”, Naira Toghanyan said. In addition, she also noticed that children are the most important for parents and thanked for the vested trust to educate and upbring them.

Likewise, the representative of the NIE, historian Araqel Gyulbudaghyan greeted and congratulated the first graders and distributed their ABC textbooks. On the Day of Knowledge and Education he wished everybody an academic year full of hope and expectations. Mr. Arakel Gyulbudaghyan addressed the following to the pupils, “From now on, for a long time you will be studying together under one roof, living together and sharing cheerful days, obtaining new friends, who will in their turn become one another’s closest people and relatives throughout life. Every morning, when you step into the school, please remember that you are coming to learn something new and interesting. And you should never get discouraged if you do not succeed in anything at the beginning; equip yourselves with courage and you will achieve all”.

The joyful mood of the school will by all means accompany the pupils throughout the whole academic year.
