A final reporting concert was organised by the initiative of the Faculty of Art Education, Chair of Music Pedagogy.
The aim of the already traditional concert was to introduce the audience with the work conducted on the Chair in the first year, as well as to give the opportunity to solo performers and groups from various departments to perform on stage. The “Ave Maria” choir, the Ensemble of Violinists, the “Ani” vocal ensemble, and various individual artists performed on the stage.
During the concert, famous works by Komitas, Khachatur Avetisyan, Arthur Grigoryan, Grigor Yeghiazaryan, Stepan Lusikyan, Edgar Hovhannisyan and others were performed.
According to the Head of the Chair of Music Pedagogy Sargis Elbakyan, the end of the year concert is like the final chord of the Chair’s one-year activities.
“Within the framework of various initiatives, the ensembles and the best individual performers played on numerous stages but the aim of this concert is to also show what musical instruments the future music pedagogues play”, added Mr. Sargis Elbakyan.
Among a number of the graduates’ and students’ achievements of the given Department, the Head of the Chair highlights the title of laureate that the “Ani” vocal ensemble was awarded in the “Renaissance” and “Art Music” international competition-festivals. In his opinion, it was a great success for an ensemble with just a year’s history.
