The fourth year Pedagogy and Psychology students spent their final internship at different institutions having the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and to gain professional skills.
The students, who were passing their internship at the Chess Educational Research Institute for the first time, had the opportunity to conduct the “Great Chess Game” that was introduced at Yerevan secondary schools N20, N100, N197.
Similarly, the students participated in justice board sitting for juvenile issues organized at the “Offenders’ Rehabilitation Centre”; during the sittings they discussed the role and functions of psychologists in the course of psycho-corrective activities carried out with risk group teenagers located in probation services.
Moreover, with the support of the Centre, the students also conducted group work with teenagers attending the Moughdousyan art center.
First time within the framework of internship puppet- therapy corner was created with the students efforts and was applied at the Psy-Life psychological Support Centre. Likewise, they had the opportunity to be involved in training activities carried out with pregnant persons, to work not only with children attending the Centre, also with their parents, thus acquiring parental skills.
In addition, students working at schools N129 and N20 participated in psychological activities conducted with children with special needs.
According to the internship supervisor Lilit Vardanyan, internship gave the students the opportunity to gain experience as well as to contribute to their professional and personal development.
