The results of the programme implemented jointly by Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and Artas Foundation were summed up on April 19.
Within the framework of the programme, a group of students and lecturers from ZHdK did a two-week internship at the ASPU Faculty of Art education. They also visited different schools and got acquainted with methods and techniques of painting teaching in Armenian schools.
ASPU Rector Ruben Mirzakhanyan welcomed the ZHdK delegation led by Dagmar Reichert. During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues. Also, a preliminary agreement was reached to shoot a joint film about the Armenian-Swiss programme, the opportunity of Swiss students to participate in the Summer School organized by ASPU, as well as training of Armenian schoolchildren by Swiss specialists at the ASPU’s Aghavnadzor-based educational centre.
Talking to aspu.am, Dean of ASPU Faculty of Art Education Ara Hakobyan said the programme ensured communication among students, exchange of experience and strengthened intercultural ties between the two sides. The Dean expressed hope that the cooperation will continue in the future and will enable the sides to engage more students in the programme.
Eight students and two professors from ASPU, the winners of the contest help in March, will travel to Switzerland in September to do a two-week internship at ZHdK.
