An event dedicated to Associate Professor Marina Stepanyan was organized at the ASPU. Participating in the event, which was entitled “Forty Years at the University,” were students of Music Department of the Faculty of Culture.
The dedicated pedagogue taught piano lessons at the Chair of Music, educating several generations of young people. Today, some of her graduates work at the ASPU.
During the event, the audience also listened to the works by V. A. Mozart, Komitas, Al. Spendiarian, A. Khachatryan, Al. Harutyunyan, A. Babajanyan, R. Andriasian and Enrique Santeugini.
Marina Stepanyan’s former and current students, as well as the orchestra of folk instruments of the Chair also performed for the educator. All participants demonstrated high level of performance and greatly impressed the audience.
For the first time in the history of the Chair of Music, the orchestra was conducted by fourth-year students under the leadership of Associate Professor Gayane Heboyan.
“Teaching is a profession when you love someone else’s child like your own. Such is Marina Stepanyan.” The pedagogue’s friends and colleagues described her with these words adding that her lenient attitude proves that she has a simple, honest and warm attitude towards students.
