Further cooperation with Russian universities discussed at ASPU

On January 9, Rector of Armenian State Pedagogical University Ruben Mirzakhanyan hosted representatives of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Yerevan at the head of Director Sergey Ribinsky.

During the meeting, Mr. Mirzakhanyan referred to ASPU’s cooperation with several leading universities in Russia, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and its further deepening.

In particular, he stressed the importance of inviting lecturers from the Russian Federation to deliver lectures at the ASPU. The ASPU rector assured everyone that the result is evidently different when a language is taught by a native speaker. Mr. Mirzakhanyan added that the successful experience should be turned into an effective system within the framework of certain programs.

The Rector added that the University is particularly interested in the Russian-side experience of child psychology: it is necessary to start with trainings as online conferences are not enough.

Sergey Ribinsky promised to discuss the proposals, find opportunities for cooperation with other Russian universities underlining that the structure he heads is ready to support each initiative. He added that clearly formulated proposals and approaches would be enclosed to the memoranda.
