On February 27, ASPU Rector Ruben Mirzakhanyan hosted a Chinese delegation led by Head of the “GoMen” Productivity Promotion Centre Khe Yu Rong. Education Officer Chao June and Robert Harutyunyan, President of Armenian-Chinese Friendship Development Association, were among the guests.

During the meeting, the Chinese guests expressed their readiness to provide assistance in the implementation of agreements reached at the previous meetings, particularly the reconstruction of one of the University buildings.

They assured the Armenian side that in cooperation with the Armenian-Chinese Friendship Development Association they are ready to discuss future activities to promote cultural dialogue between the two peoples in question.

Ruben Mirzakhanyan thanked the guests for the visit and said that they regularly discuss with Mr. Tian Erlong, Ambassador of China to Armenia, the prospects for establishing multilateral relations with the University.

Speaking about the upcoming activities, the rector emphasized that the building to be reconstructed will house the Faculty of Art Education. It will allow future teachers of music and painting to use modern technologies and improve diverse areas of applied arts.

The Chinese guests expressed wish to get familiarized with the presented projects more thoroughly, consider the University’s capacities and potential, as well assess the risks to implement the projects.

The head of the “GoMan” Productivity Promotion Centre thanked Mr. Mirzakhanyan for the warm reception and expressed hope that they would be able to assist in the implementation of current and new projects.
