Leaps, strikes, step-connections — these are the key dance steps of Hungarian dances that were taught at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) today.
The master class was given by Anita and Lenard, who are professional Hungarian dance instructors on a visit to the ASPU. The visit was organized by the ASPU Hungarian Center, in cooperation with the Hungarian “Network of Visiting Lecturers” organization.
The participants formed a big circle and were introduced to traditional Hungarian dances, along with the characteristics of the latter. They were also introduced to the Botosanka, Hoina, Bulgaros, Ordog utya and Pingvin dances of Transylvania, as well as the Hungarian Mezofold dance.
With the help of the Hungarian dancers, the attendees learned the dance moves in a short period of time, and this helped them explore Hungarian dances, which are about life, the soul and eternity and form a part of the rich and beautiful culture of Hungary.
