“Vardanank” Educational Complex hosted the annual student workshop entitled “I’m protecting my share of the world” and attended by students from state and private educational institutions in Yerevan.
The aim of the workshop is to emphasize once again the importance of natural science education, ecological education and environmental conservation, shape teamwork skills among the pupils, help the pupils of various schools cooperate, as well as foster the strengthening of the general education-science and school-university relationships.
Among the members of the jury at the workshop was Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), Associate Professor Sirine Shogheryan, who always gives words of advice about nature protection before the workshops.
Sirine Shogheryan attached importance to the event, underscoring the fact that the world is currently moving towards ecological education and upbringing, changing the children’s world view and their mindset. She considered as interesting the pupils’ collages and the interesting clothing they had created from waste. “This will help us have an ecologically literate society,” she assured.
