“Just an hour, and and you will “enter into” the world of art, which is endless, sometimes not so understandable, but at the same time deep, sensitive, human and real. In the Faculty of Art Education, you "follow" the traces of beauty, you just need to feel it.” Milena Soghomonyan, a third-year student of the Department of Journalism, shared her opinion when having her next art class with her fellow students in an art classroom of another faculty of the University, which stands out for its uniqueness, rather than in their classroom.
“If we chase the beauty, we will end up in the Faculty of Art Education. entering the classroom, you find yourself in the arms of art, you become part of it. Even the curtains there are dipped in art. The small room seems to reflect nature, beauty, reality, human values, emotions, and a number of historical realities that worry us - Armenians," Milena added.
Strengthening interdisciplinary connections is an important component of the educational process at ASPU, and the visit to the Faculty of Art Education is an attempt to deepen those connections and strengthen cooperation between the faculties, to familiarize visitors with art and cultural studies.
Accompanied by Lecturer Diana Markosyan and Dean of the Faculty Ara Hakobyan, the future journalists walked around the Faculty, got acquainted with the history of the structure, watched the showcased exhibits and visited the workshops.
Ara Hakobyan says the classrooms with transparent glass, which also serve as workshops, are more comfortable and harmonious for creative students. Moreover, the exhibited artworks of well-known artist educators help organize the teaching process more effectively. "The main task of an artist is to find the best work among others. It is not an easy task. The important thing in art is quality, rather than quantity, size or time," the dean during the visit.
