The international conference entitled "Current State and Perspectives of Armenian Lexicography" continued online on the second day. Led by Doctor of Science in Philology, Prof. Lalik Khachatryan, the participants made reports.
Candidate of Philological Science, Lilit Khachatryan (representative of the Literary Unit of Hamazkayin's Western USA region), presented a report on “Modern Lexicography of Grabar (Classical Armenian) and Its Problems” while Associate Professor Norayr Poghosyan, Candidate of Philological Science (rep. of the Western Diocese of Armenian Church of the USA) made a report on “Changes in the Armenian Vocabulary in the 16th-18th Centuries and Their Influence on the New Armenian.”
Participating in the conference was also Lusine Margaryan, Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Artsakh State University, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor.
The latter spoke about the lexicography of Artsakh during the independence period, while Svetlana Manucharyan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities of Goris State University, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor referred to the principles of compiling a dictionary of dialects of Armenia’s Kapan region.
At the international conference organized jointly by the Language Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the ASPU Scientific Laboratory of Linguistic Research, the conference co-chairs Lalik Khachatryan and David Gyurjinyan (Chairman of the RA Language Committee) summed up the results of the two-day meetings.
They thanked the participants and expressed hope that they the cooperation will continue in the future to promote development of Armenology and efficiency of its teaching at universities and.
