Kazakh PhD students visit ASPU

The Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) is hosting four PhD students from the Chair of Special Pedagogy at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The students have chosen Associate Professor of the ASPU Chair of Logopaedics and Rehabilitation Therapy Zhanna Paylozyan to be their academic supervisor and will be conducting research at the ASPU for a month.

ASPU Vice-Rector for Education Mariam Ispiryan presented to the Kazakh guests the University’s century-long history and particularly touched upon the academic orientation and activities.

The Vice-Rector underscored the fact that the Armenian State Pedagogical University is the only university in Armenia that prepares special pedagogues and psychologists and assured that the ASPU is ready to introduce the students to the characteristics of the educational institution and promote scientific research during their month-long visit.

The Kazakh guests, who are visiting Armenia for the first time ever, admitted that they are impressed with the Armenian hospitality and expressed the desire to know more about the educational and research programs of the ASPU. They also voiced hope that their studies on early logopaedic intervention, patriotic discipline for the hearing impaired on the basis of national folklore, hybrid teaching and the development of research competencies will be modified and enriched.

The parties expressed hope that the cooperation will be mutually satisfying and fruitful and will contribute to the development of the academic sector. The guests toured the University, paid visits to the ASPU History Museum and Library and had a meeting with the professors and lecturers of the Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education.
