“Last Bell” celebrations and a new beginning…

On May 26, the “Last Bell” was rung for the 9th graders of ASPU Primary School N57 as well. One more generation of pupils said goodbye to the school.

"Dear school, you have so many memories within your walls which are reviving one by one and filling my soul with an unusual feeling. My heart is warmed up by the breath of happy and sad days," the schoolchildren said adding that in their school they had learned to love life, not to stay indifferent to other people's pain, discussed various issues of concern, and received answers to many questions from the teachers.

The last lesson was marked by an award ceremony titled "Bu (Owl) 2023" during which awards were handed over in different categories, children said words of gratitude and appreciation for the school and teachers, stressing once again that they should be loved, respected and honoured every day.

The event was attended by Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan, vice-rectors, pedagogues, parents and guests.

"It is difficult [for me] to say anything. The children have already spoken about the most important values, advice and thoughts from the stage. I can only wish you all to listen to yourselves often, to what you want to do and what you want to achieve. Remember all the important values and lessons your teachers have taught you over the years at school. No matter what difficulties, obstacles and uncertainties you face, do not be discouraged by small failures, do not be afraid of the mistakes you might make as no success and victory is ever achieved without failure,” Zhanna Andreasyan said congratulating the pupils. As a parent of a graduate, she advised all parents to listen to their children more often.

The minister expressed gratitude to the school principal and teaching staff emphasizing the fact that the children had remembered and mentioned everyone in their speeches. The school is a wholeness where everyone has their own place and role, she stressed.

The minister congratulated all the school-leavers of the country, wishing everyone success in the upcoming exams.

She knows that they are worried, but advised them to remember that the marks they get are just numbers; what is more important is the stable knowledge that they have.

ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan also congratulated the pupils. In her speech, she stressed that the attendees were united by a common goal - education: "We have seen such [great] potential on stage, which proved that we are paving the way for another mature and ready-for-life generation, whose new achievements will determine the glory and honour of our country."
Srbuhi Gevorgyan is sure that victories await us as long as the school community is represented by such personalities.

Naira Toghanyan, Principal of ASPU Primary School N 57, is happy too: in recent years the graduating pupils have overcome many obstacles with honour. Today, they have formed a strong team which will uphold the good name of the school in the future as well, she said.

"We don't say goodbye, we just say so long. We do believe that every time we overcome a new obstacle on our way, you will accompany us with your good and helpful advice," the children said in conclusion.
