The Pedagogical University’s Faculty of Physics and its Teaching Methods welcomed a guest of honour- the Professor of the University of Lorraine, France and the Laboratory of Optical Materials, Photonics and Systems (LMOPS) Michele Aillerie.
The French physicist visited the ASPU in 2011, 2012, 2015. In 2012, during the events on the 90th anniversary of the APSU, he was the official representative of the President of the University of Lorraine.
uring those visits Michele Aillerie had always been presenting his seminar –lectures. On this occasion too, Michele Aillerie conducted seminar –lectures on the topic of “Electro-optical and Associated Properties of Crystals”. He introduced the electro-optical features of crystals and their measuring methods. Likewise, he specified the lithium niobate and its important characteristic as an important group of crystals. The LMOPS and the ASPU Laboratory of New Materials of Quantum Electronics and Integral Optics are carrying out joint research work in this area. The outcomes of the joint research activities are being published in highly prestigious international scientific journals.
Among those present at the seminar-lecture were the undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhDs and young Lecturers.
Active discussions were held during the seminar –lecture where the Professor was happy to answer all the raised questions.
