The Pedagogical is Participating in the Tempus IV ASPIRE Project

Today, the Eurasia International University hosted the “Achieving Sustainable Programmes in Regeneration and Entrepreneurship”(ASPIRE) of the  TEMPUS IV.

The Pedagogical University is also involved in this project which is implemented with the support of the RA Ministry of Education and Science.
 
The project member-Universities will generate and organize professional education programmes for individuals with special needs. 
During the three years of the project implementation representatives from the European Universities will represent and localize their successful experience through trainings, exchange of experience visits, combined generation of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
 
“Distant-learning is quite important in our country which can also be an effective means for a thick number of individuals with special needs. In this perspective, the Pedagogical University may have its particular role which is the only university in the country preparing special pedagogues. I am sure that the specialized professionals will be willing to work with students with limited abilities,” the Chancellor of the Eurasia International University, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor Souren Ohanyan said.
     
Moreover, the latter highlighted the professional qualifications of specialized pedagogues and their exchange of experience with the leading specialists in the field. 
 

In addition, the expert- professionals from England, Germany, Ireland and Slovakia providing training courses in Armenia, also spoke about the problems of special education and the project content in the Eurasia International University. 
In her turn, the Professor of the Faculty of Education of the Edge Hill University of England, PhD Fiona Hallet mentioned that to overcome the problems present in the field training courses on the development of human resources capacities and professional educational programmes were planned. 
 
 What is more, the experience of the Cochise Technical College was also quite noteworthy; it was introduced by the Technical Advisor of the Center for Support to Students with Special Needs Ms.Yelena Gaydova. By the way, such centers are operating in a number of schools of Armenia but at the Universities it has no precedent yet.
 
The meeting with the foreign specialists was also marked with the presence of the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Special Education of Science and Postgraduate Education of the Pedagogical University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Tereza Azatyan, and a number of students of the same Faculty.
