“Social Problems of a Transforming Society”

The international conference “Theoretical and Practical Problems of Development of Transforming Society/philosophic and psychological perspectives/”, after its solemn opening

 ceremony, continued the work in five parallel sections at the ASPU.
 
The 4th and 5th united sections finished their work with the subject “Social Problems of a Transforming Society”.
 
The Co-Heads of the sections were the Director of the Institute of Psychology after D.N.Uznadze, Associate Member of the NAS of Georgia, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Irakli Imedadze, Doctor of Psychology, Professor of Paris Diderot University François Neau, the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Sociology of Education, Doctor of Psychological Sciences Srbouhi Gevorgyan, and the Associate Professor of the ASPU Department of Development and Applied Psychology, Member of the International and French Psychoanalysts Associations, the President of the Association of Armenian Psychoanalysts, the Vice President of the Armenian-French Association of Development of Psychoanalysis, Candidate of Psychological Sciences Angela Vardanyan.
 
 
To begin with, the Head of the ASPU Department of Applied Psychology Samvel Khoudoyan introduced his report on the subject “Person’s Primary and Derivative Identifications”.
 
During his report he presented the human identification problems and suggested differentiating primary and derivative identifications in an individual.  
 
As observed by Samvel Khoudoyan, the primary identifications come up in an early age and have a radical meaning in a person’s life; while derivative identifications rise later and have little convergence with the object.
 
 

After that, the Master of Psychoanalysis, Doctor of Maanzia State University Rita Kojumyan-Yeramyan presented her report on the topic “Psychological Consequences of the First Genocide of 20th Century”. She spoke about the psychological traumas among the survivors and their generations which occurred as a result of defying the Armenian Genocide.
Ritta Kojumyan-Yeramyan is assured that the unconscious functions of totally neglected mysteries and traumas can build up unstable emotional behaviour and unsolved problems.
 
Further on, the Head of the ASPU Department of Age and Pedagogical Psychology, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Vladimir Karapetyan presented the report on the following subject: “Person’s Self-Realization Opportunities in a Transforming Society”. 
 
 
The Doctor of Psychological Sciences introduced the opportunities of a person’s self-realization in the crisis conditions of innovation i.e. the concept of innovational shock, its signs and development stages. 
 
 Besides, Vladimir Haroutyunyan gives great importance to the idea “knowledge society” in a transforming society.
 
 
Next in turn, the Lecturer of the Department of Economy and Finance of the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University, Candidate of Economic Sciences Karlen Mirzakhanyan made a report headed “Management Approaches of Handling Interpersonal Aggression” 
The Candidate of Economic Sciences made a video presentation about the basic theoretical principles of study of aggression, its management in the context of organization or any other establishment.
 
In his report he observed aggression not only as a preventing circumstance but also as a hindering function and a negative consequence. 
Likewise, Karlen Mirzakhanyan thoroughly discussed during his report the main aspects of public nature of aggressive behaviour, possible variants of behaviour observations in cases of aggressive demeanor and attitude. 
 
More to that, in the process of work of the section “Social Problems of a Transforming Society” another report was made by the Honorary Member of the Buenos Aires Association of Psychoanalysts, Professor of the Institute of Psychoanalysis, also the Professor of the Lieberman Clinical Center, Asped Ariyan.
In his report on the subject of “Early Diagnosis of Teenager Pathology” he spoke about the procedures of second reprocessing of Edipus complex during the puberty, the loss of children’s body shape and the reactivation aspect of narcissism.
 
Soon after, the RA NAS Head of Department of Psychology, Candidate of Psychological Sciences Rouben Naghdyan delivered his report headed as “Transforming Society and Transcendental Metaphysics”; and the Associate Professor of the ASPU Department of Development and Applied Psychology, Member of the International and French Psychoanalysts Associations, the President of the Association of Armenian Psychoanalysts, the Vice President of the Armenian-French Association of Development of Psychoanalysis, Candidate of Psychological Sciences Angela Vardanyan made her report “Mother’s Supervision and its Therapeutic Influence on a Child”.
 
 
Similarly, among those making reports, also were the Director of the Institute of Psychology after D.N.Uznadze, Associate Member of the NAS of Georgia, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Irakli Imedadze, Doctor of Psychology, Professor of Paris Diderot University François Neau, and the Head of the Department of Psychology of Tbilisi State Medical University, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Ramaz Sakvalidze.
 
 
At the end, the participants of 4th and 5th united sections of the conference summed up the sections’ work with a question-answer discussion.
