ASPU Students Administer First Aid

Artificial respiration, heart massages, immobilization of fractures, dressing of wounds …. each student of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) will hereinafter master all

 these skills. 
 
The University students have been given a unique opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge. At the initiative of ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan and Chair of First Aid, Emergency Situations and Civil Protection, practical classes will be organized for the University students at the emergency hospital of Yerevan's Nor-Nork district. The classes will be held within the subject First Aid.
 
For the first time, about 30 first-year students of the Department of Oligophrenopedagogy administered first aid, applying didactic materials. 
 
 The practical classes were held by Irina Sargsyan, Assistant Professor at the Chair of Ambulance and Emergency Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, and Hakob Grigoryan, Head of the Chair of First Aid, Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the ASPU.
 
Mr Grigoryan assured the presentees that practical lessons in the hospital will help students quickly orient during trips and in case of emergency by demonstrating basic first aid techniques.
