Since 2007, the Chair of Foreign Literature has been conducting interuniversity scientific-practical conferences which focus on issues related to world literature, literary relations and literary translation. Every year, the conference materials are complied and published in the collection of scientific articles.
During the next 12th conference, which was held at the Pushkin auditorium, Prof. Ruzan Tadevosyan (Doctor of Philology), Associate Professors Christine Bejanyan, Inna Sargsyan, Stella Nuralova, Ani Sahakyan (all Candidates of Science in Philology), Gayane Vardazaryan and Ruzanna Asatryan, Assistants of the Chair of TV and Radio Journalism and Chair of Romance and Germanic Languages, Karine Gulanyan, Associate Professor and Candidate of Science in Philology at Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Science, and Siranush Margaryan, Associate Professor and Head of a department at the Institute of Literature after M. Abeghyan of the National Academy of Sciences, made reports. The conference was attended by lecturers and students.
Tigran Mikaelyan, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at ASPU, gave a welcome speech.
In their reports, the speakers touched upon various issues, starting from the works of world classics to issues in literary translation and intercultural relations.
The topics presented at the conference interested the audience. The presentations were followed by a question and answer session.
