An online coordination meeting was held last week within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Modernization of Doctoral Education in Science and improvement of Teaching Methodologies” (MODEST).
The online meeting was attended by representatives of the MODEST project partner universities from Finland, Latvia, Poland, England, Russia, Belarus and Armenia.
The activities carried out within the framework of work packages, specifically establishment of Doctoral Training Centres and development of doctoral degree courses were discussed during the meeting.
The project coordinator - the University of Latvia, presented a financial report, while the partner universities focused on the quality control of activities and project management, as well as dissemination of more information on the MODEST project.
The speeches were followed by a discussion of activities and steps envisaged by the 2021 action plan.
The Erasmus+ MODEST project aims at the modernization of doctoral education in Science in European countries and Armenia, Belarus, and Russia. Its wider project objective is to enhance cooperation capacities of Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) of Partner Countries in the field of Doctoral Studies within European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and European Research Area (ERA). ASPU is a MODEST project partner.
