Participating in the Annual International Conference “Laser Physics – 2017”

The annual international conference “Laser Physics – 2017” was held at the RA NAS Institute of Physical Research from 19 to 22 September. 

The key scientific directions of the conference included laser physics, non-linear optics, quantum optics and quantum informatics, new material used in the field of photonics, as well as optical features of structured material.

On this occasion, the ASPU Head of Chair of Physics and its teaching Methods Edward Kokanyan, Lecturers of the same Chair Gagik Demirkhanyan, Atom Yeganyan, Anush Danielyan, Anush Movsesyan and Mariam Gevorgyan presented their reports and posters.

The presented reports concerned the outcomes of experimental and theoretical research of structural and physical peculiarities of lithium niobate alloyed with various mixture ions and garnet crystals, which raised great interest among the Armenian and foreign participants of the conference.
Likewise, there were discussions that were useful both for the reporters and participants.

In addition, among the representatives of the Pedagogical University at the “Laser Physics – 2017” annual international conference were the Lecturer of the same Chair Narine Babajanyan, Physicist Nune Mkhitaryan, as well as 1st and 2nd year MA students of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Department of Physics Ani Hovsepyan, Parandzem Martirosyan, Anna Hovsepyan, Ruzanna Hunanyan and Hasmik Paskevichyan.

The students were pro-active at the conference, particularly during the discussion of the posters.
At the end of the conference, a seminar –meeting was organized with the students participating in the conference, where an interactive discussion of the earlier presented work took place.
