Third year students of the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology, Department of Social Pedagogy organized an event for the children of the “Zatik” Children Support Centre, within the scope of pedagogical internship.
Together with the children of ‘Zatik” the students visited the Moughdusyan Art Centre. The future teachers were accompanied by a group of children from the daycare, who had drawing abilities and skills.
The Art Centre cordially welcomed the guests; the children made a short excursion around the Centre and got acquainted with its activities. The Head of the Centre Mariam Moughdusyan arranged a painting class for the children during which they were able to freely create and get familiarized with peculiarities of painting.
“According to the internship programme, this initiative was of an educative and a cognitive nature. Such activities must be on regular basis, as in the course of studies they are contributing to the development of students’ motivation and children’s’ self-expression. Due to this initiative the students were able to pull children out from the monotonous routine and to grant them positive energy. Many children of the Support Centre expressed interest to continue attending the Art Centre”, mentioned the internship supervisor, the Lecturer of the Chair of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy A. Dalakyan.
