Within the framework of the national project Erasmus+ BOOST /Boosting Armenian Universities Internationalization Strategy & Marketing/ a workshop was organized at the American University of Armenia.
The aim of the event was to follow up with the process of the project, its results and future activities, as well as to organize an inter-programme discussion in the scope of other Erasmus+ capacities development projects implemented by other universities of Armenia.
Among the participants of the project were the Armenian and European project counterparts, as well as representatives from a number of other universities and organizations of Armenia.
The President of the American University of Armenia Randol Rodos made an opening speech followed by the Erasmus+ Office Coordinator Lana Karlova. Randol Rodos highlighted the importance of internationalization in the course of development of education in RA and specifically highlighted the key areas of development for the AUA.
Afterwards, the Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Pedagogical University Marianna Harutyunyan spoke on the ongoing processes of the project and its upcoming activities, and the staff member of the same Department Raisa Avetyan referred to the organization of the internationalization process, relevant functions and provided services.
Furthermore, the representatives of the Russian-Armenian University and the Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences discussed the activities and the outcomes of projects implemented by the universities.
The representative of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Tatevik Gharibyan and the Director of the National Information Center for Academic Recognition and Mobility Gayanei Harutyunyan presented the aims and objectives of internationalization strategy of the RA universities developed in the course of the project.
Likewise, during the workshop a reference was made to the mobility regulations and marketing strategies generated by the universities within the framework of the project.
The workshop was summed up by the European project counterparts thereof, who in their turn shared with the European practice of internationalization.
