Representatives of the Humanities and Education Sciences (Branch) Academy of V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University gave liectures at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) on November 21.

They presented the history, main directions and specialties offered by the educational institution (Humanities and Education Sciences Academy) that has a history of 80 years.

Natalia Gorbunova, Director of the Humanities and Education Sciences Academy, Professor at the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Pedagogy, presented the topic "Educational Cooperation as a Means of Personal and Professional Growth of Young People: Ways to Work with Youth at Universities.”

In her report, she dwelt on Russia’s policy aimed at the educating and nurturing young people, the programs implemented, shared her volunteer experience at the university, and the initiative to create clubs to solve various problems. Natalia Gorbunova underscored the role of young people in the changing education sector and noted that steps are being taken to engage more young people in a number of sectors.

In her lecture entitled “Assistive Technology as a Means of Access to Higher Education for Young People with Disabilities or Inclusive Education in Universities: Best Practices," Associate Professor Yulia Boginskaya, Head of the Department of Psycho-Pedagogy and Special Education at the Humanities and Education Sciences Academy, Doctor of Pedagogy, focused on assistive tech and their use in HEIs. She particularly emphasized the importance of assistive technology in the learning process, in supporting or enabling communication, helping to see and hear better, facilitating the inclusion, etc. “Russia pursues state and social policies aimed at the realization and protection of the rights of people with disabilities. "Special attention is paid to the quality and accessibility of education. As a result, assistive technology is becoming a key issue in improving the quality of education for people with disabilities," she said presenting more details about the process of inclusion in educational institutions and access to education.
