Pupils of ASPU Basic School bid farewell with “From a little door to a big world” event

“From a little door to a big world” — this was the title of the graduation event for Class 4b of Basic School #57 of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU).

During the farewell ceremony, the pupils presented their little, but amazing planet that symbolizes peace — their school where 29 different ‘rays of light’ communicate freely and in solidarity.

The event preceding the victories achieved in the month of May was patriotic; the pupils noticed that when we Armenians say ‘us’, our homeland, language and ancestors are with us and in our hearts. At this age, they already know that one loves the homeland not only with words, but also through actions (their ancestors defended this land so that they can live in peace).

The lesson of the day was patriotic, featuring poems and songs that were first about the brave and powerful ancestor Hayk, and then King Argishti of the powerful Biayna land, as well as the creator of the Armenian alphabet, the great and genius Saint Mashtots.

The juniors also didn’t forget about Warrior Vardan, who achieve victory over death and saved the Armenian people; David of Sassoon, who traces back to fairy tales, as well as Monte and Aznavour. “We are also building the future of our homeland with our little steps. Today, we promise that when we grow up, we will defend our country with love and devotion,” the pupils of the ASPU Basic School stated and promised to build the future of Armenia with their love, knowledge and hands, and with their soul, always staying proud to be Armenian.

The pupils of Class 4b are certain that what the world needs now is kindness, and Armenians have that attribute.

The pupils said they became patriotic and established friendly ties, which are also important, and confessed that school is not just a building, but a home where they learned their first letters, gained knowledge, made friends and got ‘wings’ so that they can ‘fly’ towards the implementation of their dreams.

“These were four difficult, yet, at the same time, happy years during which we learned to read and write, count and solve problems. We made discoveries and gained new knowledge with our first teachers. We also learned to be friends, as well as understand and forgive each other. Dear teachers, you not only give us lessons, but also teach us to be kind, hard-working and goal-oriented. Your kind words, patience, love and generosity will always be in our hearts,” the pupils remarked as they summed up the event with their words of gratitude.

Hasmik Sosikyan, the homeroom teacher of Class 4b, thanked the teaching staff and the parents’ community for the warmth and support, adding that they overcame the difficulties of the past four years with honor. She wished her pupils that the end of their junior years become a new beginning for them and that they easily overcome the difficulties and that all the nice goals and wishes that she has for them, become a reality.

“It was a beautiful, touching and vivid event that conveyed positive emotions. The pupils passed the first and major stage in life, and may the new stage proceed in peace and effectively,” Director of ASPU Basic School #57 Naira Toghanyan said as she congratulated the pupils of the graduating class. She also praised the homeroom teacher for taking the difficult path, as well as for her exceptional efforts, dedication and skills.
