On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Pedagogical University, Associate Professors of the same Faculty Armine Manukyan and Armine Dallakayaan were awarded with the ASPU Centennial commemorative medal for their impeccable work.

"The Faculty of Primary Education stands in the beginning of the formation of the University: it is one of the founding faculties, which, thanks to its devotees, still has the opportunity to enjoy the entire course of its landmark history of one hundred years. The 100th anniversary is a unique event, an important period to get familiar with the history and annals of the University. Today is also a holiday for the grateful ones, thanks to whose contributions, activity, dreams and legacy, the Faculty continues its mission and sets new benchmarks,” ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan said during the awards ceremony.

The rector says as a result of the close, harmonious and effective cooperation between the Faculty of Primary Education and the Chair of Pedagogy, the new vision of the University's activity in the next century and the most important issues in the field of pedagogy should be outlined. Their solution will help organize education and upbringing of an Armenian citizen, formation of a person who has his face and social status in the world.

The rector also awarded a number of Faculty professors with certificates of appreciation and honour for the conscientious and efficient performance of their professional activities and hailed the potential, abilities and merits of the Faculty.

Heghine Khachatryan, Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education, thanked the university management for evaluating and appreciating their work.

The dean stressed that responsible, punctual, bright, creative and smart specialists work in the Faculty, for whom the awards are binding, though pleasant. She hopes they will continue to invest all their energy and potential for the benefit of the University.

Heghine Khachatryan handed over certificates and commemorative medals symbolizing the 100th anniversary of the University to representatives of the Rector’s Office ‘for being friends of the large family of the Faculty of Primary Education.’

The awards ceremony was accompanied by a display of scientific and methodical manuals by Faculty professors.

The attendees also watched a video about the Faculty, teacher’s profession, and the activity of the 100-year-old University, with the participation of children of preschool institutions and junior schoolchildren.
