The monitoring visits to partner universities organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ BOOST (Boosting Armenian Universities Internationalization Strategy & Marketing) project were summed up at Shirak State University and Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas.
The visit to Shirak State University started with a focus group meeting, with the participants being not only the members of the working group of the programme but also other employees who participated in the programme.
The meeting focused on the activities carried out by Shirak State University within the framework of the project, reforms aimed at boosting the university’s internationalization, steps taken to provide the project sustainability, as well as the dissemination and localization of training results gained from European universities.
During the visit, the guests were also received by Mr. Yervand Serobyan, the acting rector of Shirak State University. The latter stressed the importance of the project results in the internationalization of Shirak State University.
The last visit was to Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas. In focus group discussions, the working group referred to the key impact of the project on the internationalization of the university. It is due to mention that this is the first time the Conservatory has been engaged in an international capacity building project.
The documents regulating the internationalization drafted at the end of the project, capacity development of the international department and a number of other actions have facilitated that the accreditation process and international component be approved. It is noteworthy that within the framework of the project, the exchange of the Conservatory students and the university’s participation in various international programmes has become more active.
During the monitoring visits, the participants also tested the equipment acquired within the framework of the project.
