KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

A scientific and methodological seminar discussion was held on June 3-4 at the initiative of the Chair of Mathematics and Physics of Goris State University.

The event entitled "Elements of Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics in Mathematics Courses according to the New Education Standards" was conducted by Varazdat Vardazaryan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods at ASPU, PhD (Physical and Mathematical Sciences), and Associate Professor Anush Davtyan, Acting Head of the Chair of Mathematics and Physics of Goris State University.

The speakers presented the changes to approaches of the probability theory and mathematical statistics conditioned by the new education standards, spoke about the lectures on the newly included topics and performed practical tasks.

Around 30 mathematics teachers, high school pupils, and those interested in the field participated in the seminar discussion.

The speeches were followed by an active discussion. The participants of the two-day event received certificates.
