By the initiative of the ASPU Chair of First Aid, Emergency Situations and Civil Defence, the first online meeting within the scope of “I want to know more” took place.
Among the participants of the initial meeting for the Summer School of Medicine and Healthcare there were students and Lecturers of various Faculties of the Pedagogical University, Doctors and other invited guests.
The meeting was dedicated to the discussion of current ideas on the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Associate Professor of the Chair of First Aid, Emergency and Civil Defence, Candidate of Medicine, Family Doctor, Pulmonologist Anna Margaryan introduced the present-day ideas about the COVID-19 infection, emphasizing the clinical process and prevention principles.
In addition, the results of the studies made among students on their knowledge and behaviour regarding COVID-19 were also discussed during the online meeting.
On this event, an invited Lecturer, Paediatrician, the Chairman of the “Healthcare” NGO for children’s respiratory health-care Ms. Satenik Harutyunyan presented her report, where she spoke about the peculiarities of the new coronavirus among children. The specialist highlighted the importance of identification of early symptoms of the above-mentioned infection among children of different age-groups, presented clinical examples from her practice.
In their turn, the students and Lecturers thanked for this initiative and outlined their big interest in regards with such events.
We would like to add that the series of online meetings headed “I want to know more” for the Summer School of Medicine and Healthcare will be of continuous nature, and that the following meeting will be on 15 July.
