KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Students of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi and Erebuni State Medical College visited the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) today.

The aim of the visit organized by the Student Council was to introduce students of medical colleges and universities to the Armenian State Pedagogical University, the opportunities of continuing education here, as well as student life and events.

President of the Student Council Paruyr Galstyan voiced hope that the cooperation, which is in one case already well-established and in another case just beginning, will be mutually effective.

First, Galstyan inquired about whether the students were professionally oriented and went on to present the wide spectrum of the pedagogical and non-pedagogical professions at the ASPU, the opportunities to participate in international education programs and continuing education at the top universities abroad, becoming competitive specialists in their respective sectors, receiving scholarships worth up to AMD 77,000 for a number of professions, etc.

Paruyr Galstyan considered a good opportunity the fact that high-performance students of the College will have the chance to continue their education without taking exams and starting right from the second year. He also provided details about the student and social programs at the ASPU, and touched upon the interesting and very busy schedule of students.

The students of the medical colleges also toured the ASPU, paid a visit to the laboratories of the Center for Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and were introduced to the technical equippedness.

Lecturers of various Faculties of the University presented the advantages of studying at the ASPU, the unique specializations that the University has to offer, the opportunities for an education to obtain a Master’s Degree, and they talked about the importance of the teaching profession in our days and the prospects for easily solving the issue of employment in case teaching is combined with other professions.

The students asked their questions of interest that were about admissions, the privileges that are offered to them and more.

Vardan Adilyan, President of the Student Council of the Medical College at Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, voiced hope that the visit to the Armenian State Pedagogical University and the fact that the students are informed, will make it easy for them to choose their professions and, due to this, also provide opportunities for achieving success.
