Within the framework of the “Summer School 2018” international project, ten ASPU students visited to the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences from 31 July to 10 August.
During the ten days, the participants made a tour in Vilnius, went sightseeing, visited the city’s parliament, museums, the Užupis district, went to the historically significant city of Kernavė, which impressed the students with its beautiful nature.
“The important political centre of the great Lithuanian authority Trakai and the historical capital city Kaunas built in the 11th century were particularly admirable. Thanks to these trips we got familiarized with Lithuanian culture and history”, mentioned the participants adding that they had returned with unforgettable impressions.
Students from 24 countries participated at the “Summer School 2018” international project hosted by the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences; the established multinational environment gave them the opportunity to communicate with foreign students, to get acquainted with one another’s cultures and to obtain new friends.
“Beautiful country, rich culture, delighting nature, wonderful and warm people – this is how I can describe Lithuania. These ten days will permanently remain in my memory as I made new friends, studied the history and culture of the country, got familiarized with the Lithuanian language; as for the beautiful medieval picture of the cities- it will always stay in my heart”, the participant of the project Elya Khachatryan mentioned in her interview to the aspu.am and added that all students, who had traveled to Lithuania, had the same impressions.
Wrapping up the project the participants from various countries represented the culture and history of their homelands. The ASPU students demonstrated the Armenian culture and folk dances, as well as presented a few traditional dishes.
At the end, the Project Coordinator Wilma Leonavissenei awarded certificates to the participants, hoping for the cooperation established between both Universities to be of continuous nature with new achievements.
