The 4th year Military Pedagogy and Psychology students of the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology, spent their pedagogical internship fixed in their curriculum at the RA AF academic military unit N and at the Military Aviation University after A. Khanperyants.
First and foremost, the Heads of Military Institutions outlined the importance of the cooperation and support highlighting that the high level of students training derived from the interest of the Armed Forces,
Many of the commanders with higher military education and broad service experience mentioned that without a multi-contextual pedagogical practice it would be difficult to get membered into the Armed Forces as highly qualified officer-psychologists.
Later-on, during their interview to the aspu.am the students mentioned that as future officers staying at the military unit, communicating with officers and temporary servicemen, being present at the events organized at the military unit, carrying out research activities, future office-activities we perceived our own capabilities and chances more clearly.
Internships had an important role in the process of them becoming future specialists; many of the students had the opportunity to gather information for their graduate works.
At the end of the internship students’ works were summarized. The division Commanders, in their turn, were also interested in the results; moreover, they expressed acknowledgements to the teaching staff and the students promising to take into account the results of the research for further increasing the competitiveness in units.
The results of the pedagogical internship included in the portfolios were presented to the Internship Defence Committee and that would be further reflected on the final qualification examinations marks /30 %/.
During the pedagogical internship the students visited 5 schools attached to military unit in Kotayk region and within the scope of professional orientation they introduced the profession of a military psychologist, the functions and performance peculiarities.
